Rosemary is a must-grow herb in your garden. This variety is a perennial shrub with an upright growth habit. It grows up to 1.5m tall and 1m wide. Prune it regularly if you want to control its size – but don’t prune too much at once (no more than 20% of the plant); it’s best to do little and often.

It likes free-draining soil in full sun. It’s a Mediterranean herb, so can tolerate some dry weather and loves the heat. A north-facing aspect is best.

For cooking, rosemary is delicious barbecued with vegetables (especially potatoes), as well as meat. In winter, it’s a great additions to soup, stews, and casseroles.
