Available to buy this month: January & February 2017

Matthew (Cornelia's dad) with the freshly-harvested Elephant Garlic. It's BIG!
Matthew (Cornelia’s dad) with some of our biggest Elephant Garlic.

Fresh, new season garlic is here!

Freshly-harvested (a.k.a. green garlic) is now available, including regular (strong) garlic, as well as Elephant Garlic (which is big but mild).

  • Green garlic (to be eaten fresh): $2 a bunch
  • Elephant garlic (green – not dried): $15 per kilo
  • Dried (strong) garlic: $15 per kilo

Our garlic is spray-free, waaay cheaper than the supermarket stuff, and really yummy.

Note:  Green garlic is for immediate use; it’s not suitable for storing. You use it for all the same things you’d normally use garlic for – but you can use the whole stalk, not just the bulb. It’s yummy!

Enjoy!

Summer = yummy salads

Healthy lunches (and dinners) are easy with fresh, yummy lettuces from Leaf Produce.

Our lettuces are grown in the ground for extra flavour – and you can taste the difference over hydroponic lettuces. Only natural sprays have been used.

Summer lunch, Leaf Produce style. Yum!

As well as crisp, sweet cos lettuces we have a selection of fancy lettuces – come to the Leaf Produce stall at The Old Packhouse Market nice and early for the best selection!

If you’re super quick, you might even be able to grab some wild rocket (Arugula) – but hurry, this always sells out quickly.

Lettuce pots

For a regular supply of lettuce, our big $4 pots contain 2 lettuces plus Mizuna. Just keep picking the outer leaves and the lettuces will re-grow.

Mizuna is also available separately, for $1.50 a pot. Mizuna adds a nice, peppery kick to a salad.

Salad veges

Radishes make a colourful and crunch addition to a salad. Our are freshly picked, grown with only natural sprays, and really yummy. $2 a bunch.

Cucumbers: both green cucumbers and apple cucumbers are available.
